La Noche Mas Larga premiers in the U.S. on NPR First Listen
The new Buika album ‘La Noche Mas Larga’ premiered this week on First Listen, one of the key programs of NPR (National Public Radio, a network of 975 independent radio stations in the U.S. specialized in award-winning news, information and music programming in combination with a very popular website and phone apps).
The full album can be streamed at: NPR Music until the album is released 4 June.
Every week 26 million people tune in to NPR, reaching more people than the total circulation of the top national American newspapers combined. First Listen is one of the prime NPR programs and getting selected for First Listen is not only an honor, but also provides a boost for any album selected. And the good news is that the First Listen album stream can be picked up anywhere around the world.
Since her introduction to the American marketplace in 2007 with her album Mi Niña Lola (My Little Girl Lola), Buika has experienced a meteoric rise, earning lavish praise from The New York Times, The Miami Herald, and The Wall Street Journal, as well as from NPR, which quickly included her in their “50 Great Voices” gallery and has continued to support her since. A Tiny Desk live mini concert from NPR’s Washington offices – one of the more interesting NPR programs – will follow in June.
